Glenn Taylor – Managing Director

Glenn started his career in the building industry as an apprentice at Guyco. Over the years he worked his way up through the business and took over the reins of Guyco from Greg Guy in 2016. Guyco is a Whangarei company with a history of over 50 years – the name Guyco is well known in the local community.

Glenn is known to many as Towers, a name you immediately understand when you meet him in person. He comes from a Northland farming background and is well known in the local sporting community.

Cameron Harvey – General Manager

Having grown up and gone to school in Northland, Cameron completed an electrical apprenticeship with the Navy before retraining and working for a Quantity Surveying Consultancy in Auckland. Since returning to the North, Cameron has accumulated extensive experience within the commercial, civil and petrochemical construction fields.

Having recently completed an MBA with Massey University, Cameron joined Guyco Construction in the role of General Manager and Estimator to help continue the Guyco Construction legacy.

Gordon Ball - Building Consultant

'Gordie', as he is known, has made his career in the building industry. He was 20 years old when he first started in the industry and over the years has acquired a wealth of knowledge of all the trades used in building. His involvement with Housing New Zealand maintenance for many years means he has come across everything there is to see when it comes to maintenance and repairs. Gordie is very well known in Whangerei rugby circles through his many years' association with Kamo Rugby Club.

Kevin Thorne - Building Consultant

Coming to Guyco with a wealth of experience in the building industry, Kevin (known to us as Thorny) works in the Jobbing division as a consultant. Thorny worked for large housing companies as well as being self employed, offering additions and alterations for the home owner, before joining Guyco. Solving people’s building problems is what Thorny enjoys – each job is different requiring a unique solution.

Pete Hadrup - Painting Manager

When it comes to organising people, Pete is a master. He was a personnel manager of a team of 1200 earlier in his career and moved into the construction industry some years ago. He managed the maintenance and exterior painting of hundreds of Housing New Zealand properties for a number of years before setting up the specialist painting division of Guyco.
